YES!!! Here's the definition: cohabit (koh-hab-it) v. to live together as man and wife, especially when not married to each other. AS MAN AND WIFE. You can't have the cake and eat it too, buddy! If you are going to cohabitate then step up to the plate and play ball.

Humm? I don't know what state you are in but CA is the most extreme when it comes to child support. If you live together and pay mortgage, rent or whatever, that is considered support. So the question is... Do you pay the mortgage or rent? What other bills do you pay? Living in the same house changes everything. Call your child support officer and be straight with them. They will appreciate your honesty, and you will get your questions answered. Go to the source, they are the source.

People on here are OBVIOUSLY not reading your question. I'm assuming that you're asking if you have to pay child support through your local child support enforcement agency, and that you DON'T mean do you have to pay for your child on a daily basis.

If she files for child support, and the judge says that you have to, then yes, you do.

However, if you have not gone to court, then no, you don't. You would support your child as if you were raising him/her as two parents--which you obviously are.

On the other hand ... if the mom is the shady type, you may want to keep track of the expenses that you are putting towards your child's well-being, in case she decides to take you to court. You can prove to the judge that you are, in fact, supporting your child.

That would depend on any previous court order, if there was a order for support prior to you living with the mother you can petition the court for a support modification to let them know you are jointly supporting the child and the order should be dropped.

You should be paying for your child any damn way,you shouldn't even be asking this question? How do you THINK the child is supposed to be taken care of? By the mother alone, she didn't make this child by herself!

If you're asking if it's your responsible for paying for your child, then the answer is yes.

As far as officially paying child support with checks, I'd say no.

Yes, you still have to pay...but it all comes back to the household so it really isn't that big of an issue. You know what it is being spent on.

Only if it is court ordered, or state mandated if not you are free as a bird in a tree. You pay only if you are ordered by the law of the land. you understand.

If you are court-ordered to pay it, yes. If not, no. You really need to add some information to your question or you are going to get some pretty nasty responses because people will assume that you are the father, and you do not state that in your question.

If it's your kid, then yes, of course you do! Even if you weren't married to her at the time of conception and birth, you're still the kid's father, and as such are responsible for her as much as her mother is.
