I once had a teacher...and he said to the class...as you grow up and move on with your life....you will be lucky to count your "true friends" on one hand...we all thought he was crazy...this was highschool.....but as I've gotten older...I think it's true.

true friends are friends who accept who you are and wish for the better of your future and not trying to change you for he or she himself or herself is.

there are people who think they are right but in fact they are wrong. and there are those who knows they have done wrong but do not make amends.

but who is to say who is right and wrong? only heaven can tell.

if you cannot accept the fact you have done wrong in certain ways, then you have to be very careful in choosing your friends because there are people who do make mistakes and don't wake up and they happen to be your "friends".

but no matter what, i believe they will wake up sooner or later as heaven catches up with them.

yes, true friends are hard to find.

hope you find 1 soon if not a few.

may buddha bless you.

i have 2 true friends- my mother and God--i was with this guy for a few years and i thought he really was a lover and a good friend-turns out hes not so after awhile i start to figure out whos in my life through thick and thin always and is still here and i came to the conclusion that its the same 2 people thats been with been all my life! i say this because i have had friends ofcourse in school and things and i have friends now but not true friends meaning i cant trust them with my secrets and there not reliable only when they wanna be and you cant tell em nothing serious because what if all of a sudden we have a argument and she or 1 of them get upset then i know everyone would know my business and thats why i only trust 2 people 100%--so basically friends are cool to have but you cant tell alot of them your secrets just hang out buddies thats all.i have been backstabbed enough to know this! -your teacher was right!

I dont think that is necessarily true - I am 40 years old and I have a number of "true" friends (more than a handful) that would drop anything they were doing for me if I needed them and I would do the same for them.

The key to having friends is being a friend !

It is true. I had tons of friends in high school and even now have tons of friends in college. But none of them are true friends. I have 2 true friends, my husband and my mother. Keep the friends you do have close, you wont want to lose them.
