Our ability to bring children into the world is a sacred power. Every child has the right to be a wanted child so pregnancies should (ideally) always be planned. This means using reliable birth control or abstaining from intercourse when the time isn't right and making sure you're in good health, reasonably financially secure, and have a willing partner when you feel ready. If you're going off the Pill, it is important to wait a few cycles before trying because Pill use can deplete important nutrients. No matter what, it is sensible to consider some vitamin and mineral supplementation before you get pregnant. Folic acid, for example, is known to prevent certain birth defects. A recent study suggests that women may want to space their children at least 18 months apart so their bodies can fully recover from pregnancy, birth and nursing. Personally, it seems logical to wait until the first one can walk a fair distance on his or her own (at least three years). Thank you for asking this question and I'm sorry the answers you've received thus far have been rather flippant and sarcastic. Bringing a child into the world is the most important decision most of us will ever make.

its more of a system where you plan out when and how many children you want to have and or if you want ot go on birth control or if you need assistance in concieving..for example if i wnated to have two kids and i didnt want them to be far apart in age then i would have to plan exactly when i would concieve and have a child and then after the first child is born i will have to go through the due process again..really helpful

pregnancy planning is....planning our your pregnancies...some people try to plan out their life to perfect from money...to appears...even kids...do i think it's important....in some cases....some people can only afford so much at a time...so they wait a few years between kids....i for one wasn't one of those people my wife and i have nine kids....however we are able to raise our kids with no worries..i work she stays home .....they all go to private school....it all comes down to money...if you can afford to have so many kids at a time and not worry then why have a plan...but if you know off the bat that its going to be hard with one then why would you bring another into this world....yes you can give it love...but why struggle you know what i mean....

plus as one person stated some people dont want to be labeled and many times that's what people do...i know my wife has been labeled names from time to time..i mean what women wouldn't with nine kids...walking with her saying mom i want this mom i want that....its just how others view things....in those situations you just have to look at what you have and as long as your happy why let those stupid people bring you down...

It means you actually plan when to have your children, rather than getting pregnant every time you have sex. Why is it important? I'll let you work that one out.

It means getting a life of your own on your own and when you grow up, if you are mature enough then you can talk about getting yourself pregnant. But for now, forego it. The world is overpopulated enough as it is.
