People lose 100 hairs a day through breakage, regular shedding, and damage from other sources. If you're just losing some hairs, it's completley normal. Everyone loses hair. If it's coming out in clumps, it's a problem. Hair loss can be caused by poor nutrition, hair disorders, or if it's stressed (if you dye your hair or perm it too often.) If it's nutrition based, there is something you can do. if it's a disorder, there may be medications, or there may not be, judging on what kind of disorder it is. but it sounds like yours is perfectly normal. If you're really worried about it, bring it up at your next physical... but it sounds like you're perfectly fine!

Some medications can make it fall out.
Hormone problems could do it.
Nutritional deficiencies can do it.
Inherited tendency toward hair-loss can do it.
Too much chemical processing can cause it to break off dramatically.
Maybe a scalp condition could do it.
Its possible it could be some medical condition. That's probably the thing I'd look into first if I were you. Once you rule that out (if you rule it out) you could start seeing what's out there for people with inherited tendency to lose hair.
I am suspecting if its coming out in pieces it may be a medical condition (I could be wrong, of course). I once took an antibiotic that caused some clumps of hair to come out way too easily in just three days.

I'm sorry to hear that you are loosing some of your hair. My dad is loosing his hair and my mom always talks about how she thinks it's so sad that men loose the hair from their head and they gain it in their ears, noses, chests, and backs. But honestly, there are many factors that could explain your hair loss: poor nutrition, too much hair dying, balding, alopecia, medications, or illnesses. I have also heard that the average human being looses 3 hairs an hour, but that sounds like a lot...not sure where I heard that one. It may be a good idea to bring this up with your doctor at your annual checkup or even just call your doctor's office, sometimes the nurses can be a huge help! Good Luck!

It's normal to lose about 100 hairs a day, give or take.
but other things can trigger this also
like unusual stress,or pregnacy.

Possible protein or vitamin deficiency. I recently had gastric bypass surgery and this is one of the #1 things to watch for to make sure you are not deficient
