has anyone regained the sensation and function back into the hand on both sides over time after surgical repair?

I've suffered a PIN cut before.
Most of the sensations are functioning but not all, not all muscles are growing back too.
I have to train whatever muscles left to compensate the ones needed most.
Don't you worry too much if you really suffered such an accident.
No point crying over spilled milk.
Live has to go on even with one hand, what more we still have two intact.
Though scared, take that as a battle scar memento, it'll make you feel better if not great.
Cheer up Buddy!

i had an injury to the leg in 93 that severed nerves ... the whole left half of the upper left leg had no feeling ... 13 years later it is about 20% better ... the area with no feeling has shrunk slightly. i had no problem with function .... its just the sensation that remains gone.

i gouged a nerve on my lower forearm for the nerves on the back of my thumb, been about 12 years now and took 6-8 years before i noticed a good improvement in sensitivity, ice cubes still feel "weird" though. unless i hit the original wound,i don't even notice it.
