Yes,I'm sure every generation has expressed similar sentiments such as they are afraid of the time the current younger generation takes over the running of the country,etc. I remain optimistic however because despite their best efforts to prevent it,most teenagers grow up and many of them go on to lead productive lives. This reminds me of the following statement...The children now love luxury. They have bad manners,contempt for authority;they allow disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children now are tyrants,not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents,chatter before company,gobble up dainties at the table,cross their legs and tyrannize their teachers..............

Yep! Every generation has said that. The same as every generation has said that they will not be like the generation before them. The same as every generation says that the other generation doesn't understand what they are going through. The same as every generation says they are having it worse than the generation before them and that the world is more dangerous than before. It is just a cycle.
