I've gotten the Depo shot 3 times. After the first 3 months (that's how long one shot covers), I stopped having my period. That doesnt bother me. What bothers me is that even though coverage should have stopped 3 months ago (doing the math, it's been 6 months since my last shot), I'm still not menstrating. Nothing abnormal is happening (as far as I'm concerned) and I feel fine. I just don't know if I'm still 'at risk' of getting pregnant.

I was on depo for about 18 months, and i stopped it due to some side effects, however i did not get a period for months afterwords as well; however, it does not mean that you are unable to get pregnant, so still use other methods of birth control..if your period does not come back relatively soon, you may want to see your doc. just to ensure that you do not have any related health problems

yes you can......they say it MAY last for 12 to 18 months after your last shot but not so much all the time i will let my 8 year old daughter tell you her story......she was born 8 1/2 weeks early and almost due to this while pregnant she looked so big i was induced and she was born dead after along haul around the medical system she is perfect for the most part but i did not know when i had gotten pregnant due to the shot and she suffered for it take all precautions

YES DEFINATLEY I USED TO BE ON DEPO, IT REALLY MESSES UP YOUR CYCLE. JUST CAUSE YOU AREN'T BLEEDING DOESN'T MEAN YOU WON'T GET PREGNANT. THE SHOT HASN'T BEEN EFFECTIVE IN 3 MONTHS. YOU NEED TO USE PROTECTION IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE PREGNANT.

i'd use other protection. depo does wierd things to you. it made my hair fall out and i had to stop using it.
