He has already told you he doesn't love you. You can not make someone feel something for you they don't. Just because you "love" him doesn't mean he HAS to love you back. You have to decide if you are willing to continue this relationship or just part as friends and move on.

I think he's an idiot. He hurt your feelings by telling you that about his ex gf.
I mean, what good did it make to tell you that he didn't love you?
I think he blew it.
Anyhow, do you really want to keep dating this guy? After a year, I think he has to love you, now if he says he doesn't then something going wrong with the relationship.
I'd advice to wait for sometime (not too much) and if he keeps saying that he doesn't love you...well just ditch the guy.

honestly...probably not. a year is plenty long enough to no. he must wanna be friends and that's all.at least he is being honest even if it hurts you.its better then lying to you to get what he wants. that's actually a true friend. but...if he doesn't love you like you love him then he should cut you loose.and not have the same benefits as a man who loves a women would have. you need to realize you are more deserving of someones love then wasting time until he decides he loves you! you need to break it off and now! tell him when he is ready to commit to you come look you up and if you are still available and you still love him then maybe it can be. stick up for yourself your the only one who can. demand the respect you and all us women deserve. best wishes to you.

Yes, but you may have to back off a little and let the relationship develop more and grow. This is a big step for you two and these things take time, sometimes.

Move on. Maybe once you do, he will miss you and realize he really does love you. If he does not, you are better off without him anyways! He shouldn't be comparing you to his Ex anyways. Sounds like he might be not over her.

No....just move on with your life. He already told you that he doesn't love you. Who knows you meet someone better than him and love you back the way you back the way you do. You cannot force someone to love you.

No he won't. You have to ask yourself; "Do I really want to be in this one-sided relationship?"
If you look at your relationship [with him] from a different angle, you may come to realize that you really don't love him the way you think you do.

A year is a long time to be with someone who doesn't love you. You deserve all of someone's love. Find someone who will give it to you.

Not enough information...I am guesssing that if you have been together a year, he already does love you but he is afraid to tell you.
