I killed a black widow in my room it seemed pretty large and it was a female. I'm afraid there might be more what should I do?

Look for them.
They like places where they can hide but stretch a web out to catch bugs. The webs are very strong, so you usually know if you find one. Look for egg cases, made of yellowish silk and about the size of a garbanzo bean. The spiders will guard the egg cases so if you find one be ready to squish it and momma too. The babies are tiny and are white.

Oh man! I found a female about six months ago and killed it. It seemed like killing it opened up some kind of spider flood-gate. I woke up and they were crawling all over me. I almost died from the severity of the multiple bites all over my face and chest.

I think I would call a professional exterminator. They know where to look for them, and the best ways to get rid of them. Better safe than sorry

there probably isn't anymore. I think female black widows fight other females don't they? I wouldn't worry. Just kill them if you see them. but you are probably just paranoid cause you saw one!

First bury the body and hope CSI doesn't come knocking at your door. Seriously, normal insect repellant should help you out. I find them around my place on a regular basis, but have never been bitten.
