...to garden in? Do you get on your knees to use your trowel, or do you bend at the waist? I heard kneeling can give you knee trouble...

CucumberMan doesn't actually garden after he plants his seeds! He has his guest Chicks tend to his garden - and he supplies them with knee pads for kneeling - free of charge! Oh Yeah!

I have someone plant my garden for me and then use a garden claw for the rest of the work during the season. And when I pick, I do it bending over. I've had surgery on 1 knee and now both of them hurt!

Ahh but bending at the waist will give you back trouble..
Maybe best to go down on your knees, while bending over at the waist.

I have to get on my knees and use a knee pad. Bending over hurts my back after a while.

in some cases you have to do both depends on what you are working on . and use knee pads or a rubber pad
