If you don't love yourself, no one will love you. True.

What you are seeing in other people is: you are seeking their approval on everything you do and say because you are not confident in yourself. They are your life energy because you are not getting it from yourself. You are an energy vampire to them, begging for compliments and approval. Eventually your friends will get tired of it, talk about it, and eventually leave you alone because they don't want to be bothered with your insecurities anymore.

Find reasons to love yourself, and then you will find love in and from others. Be the person you want to be friends with.

Exercise:

Make a list of 100 things you want to have in a friendship or relationship.

Then place a check next to all the things you know you are not being.

Then work on being like those things you checked off, and you will attract people like that.

Wow! Thats a loaded question, of course you can like other people and not like yourself. But, what a waste that is? And why so glum? I went to therapy and it has helped me out a lot to try and understand. Of course life passes you by and you don't even know yourself really if you say that you hate yourself. You need to find the root of your disgust and look at yourself differently. We are multi-faceted, but it would be a shame for you to not care about yourself. And no one really wants to hang out with a bummer. So take another look at yourself and move on. Good Luck!

caring about yourself is an important first step in finding someone to care about you.

Stop focusing on the negative, girl. For every bad thing you think of yourself list something else you like. The world is pretty superficial, but you don't have to play by the world's rules. I think people find someone eventually...if just takes time. You can't be looking for it. Just live one day at a time and life will surprise you : )

No it does not mean that no one ever will, your talking about 2 kinds of love, first off, I do not even know you, but I care about you enough to answer this question. The moral of the saying is that you should be the kind of person that YOU would love to be with. We are all our own harshest critics, try to see yourself through other people's eyes. I think you will find out your not all that bad.

People can love you even when you are not really very lovable. But, what you will find is that until you are okay with yourself you will attract low lifes, creeps, abusers and idiots.

But, if you can turn it around and get a positive outlook and be okay with who you are you will find someone that will actually treat you like a human being and care for you as you are.

I hate myself all the time too and I feel lonely as if no one cares about me..just like you but I don't think it's true.
When you feel that way, you feel as if you don't deserve to be loved and that makes you think no one cares about you.
Most people have others who love them and care about them even though they don't see it.

No! It does not mean that.
What it means is that if you do not like your self, you convince yourself that no one else likes you. You make yourself believe that this person doesn't like you, and that person doesn't like you. You project how you feel about yourself to how you believe others feel about you. And then you act out so you can say, "See, I was right, No one likes me". They could tell you they love you, or how pretty you are till they are blue in the face, but you don't believe them because of your low self esteem. You have to see your "own" God given beauty and like it, before you accept how others feel about you.

Let me share this with you ; "God loves you so much, that He gave His only Son to die for you" !! That action speaks louder then words.
Everyone is special! Do not forget that!!

not always but how you feel about yourself portrays a big part of your personality.if your happy and bubbly people will look at you like that's how they see you if your down and depressed looking that's how people will tend to treat you. first you need to tell yourself you are a beautiful person inside and out. you deserve the best and will not settle for anything less.i bet you have many fine qualities you just need to let them shine through. seek help if you are to troubled to find this inside you let someone help you. don't go through life miserable. you only live once make the best of it! best wishes to a special person.

It doesnt mean that no one loves you. There are probably a lot of people family and friends that love and care about you.

The saying "you have to love yourself before anyone else does," means that for you to acknowledge their love, understand their love and appreciate their love you must first acknowledge, love, appreciate and understand yourself.

Hope that helps.

No.
Just means that you have to love yourself before you are truly capable of loving someone else (relationship wise).
You have to have standards and pride, self assurance and that's comes with loving yourself.
Otherwise people will treat you any ol' way they please. You have to have the confidence to tell them to Foff if they do not treat you right. People will push you to (and past) your limits if you allow them to.
