Yes, the astronomers decided that it was too small to be a planet. If it had continued to be a planet, we would have had to include three other celestial bodies including Xena, and some other two that were really far away and that were very recently discovered. Pluto is a dwarf planet, just in case you wanted to know.
As for Uranus, it is rather large, so it is big enough to be considered a planet, at least by all the astronomers and scientists.
Of course, keep in mind that these planet specifications can change over time. Who knows, maybe one day our solar system will have dozens of planets, or maybe it will just consist of 4. But no worries, the ones we have right know will probably continue to be planets for a looooong time yet.
