Why lie to him? It will hurt like the devil. I have friends who were going to the Bahamas. He has this really hairy back and his wife convinced him to have a wax job. He said that was the worse pain he could ever imagine and that the next time they went on vacation she would either have to put up with his hairy back or they'd go somewhere cold. True story!

1. You should respect the way he would like to keep his body. If that's a barrier for you, you can always leave him.
2. If you REALLY want him to do this, you're gonna have to give something up for him, like his biggest fantasy, going with him, you getting a Brazilian wax, etc.
Also, I've looked as another one of your posts, and it looks like you're INTO pain. Well, maybe your guy ISN'T.

now you dont have to wax you can get it laser removed and after awhile of that it dont come back. or like i did for my man who needed it in one certian spot he wouldn't get no more favers down there. LOL

He could try other ways of getting rid of the hair...There are painless wax treatments, laser hair removal, shaving, nair, veet...
Its gonna hurt, so I wouldn't tell him it won't.
