7-8 hour is OK .I think enough sleep is very important for your health and your skin.

Depends on your age...everyone says 8 hours a night, but that's not true. An adult can get by with 6 hours of sleep, and still be alert and having full mind functions. I don't know why you'd only chose 6 hours or less though. Sleep is too great to miss out on.

Supposedly 8 is considered a full nights sleep. When you are young, anything between 6-9 hours is good, but don't do 6 if you plan on driving or operating machinery. 10 or more after a full nights sleep will result in moving around in a semi-aware state.

Depends how old you are. As a teenager I could get by on 5 if need be. In my late 20s now I need at least 6.5-7.

you should get between 7 and 8 hours of sleep. it's also not good to oversleep either, if you are already getting the right amount. i'm not sure if it will make you sick, but you will definitely feel crummy and become extremely irritable.
