I have never been to one, and I will in the future. I am not at the age where I can travel alone yet, but once I get into college and adulthood, I will go to some of the anime conventions.
I just want to know what you do in the anime conventions and what is there to see? I have always thought about them, but have never been able to go yet.
I know you can volunteer and also help out, but what is there at the convention? Explanations would be good. Thanks!!!

awsome! your in for a lot of goodness. I've been to numerous anime expos. you go there to cosplay which is by far the best thing to do when you go. if you don't know what cosplay is go to "cosplay.com" or "osplaylab.com"
but to sum it all up, you are dressing up as an anime.
Now, at anime cons you go to socialize, meet awsome people.
they have video game rooms where you can go and whatch or play games. Masqurades and cosplay parades where you check out everyones hot cosplay. talent shows and skits, AMV viewings and contests where you can entre your own AMV's and quite possibly win an award.
Anime shows and viewings of recent or upcomming anime.
they'll have guest stars where voice actors, japanese porn stars, and J-rock/pop stars will be there to sign autographs, talk and such(depending on how big the con is)
other contests and such.
and my all time favorite the Exibit Hall, where you can buy cool s.h.i.t, sometimes mosh pit and win/get cool free stuff. the usually have rare DVD's and others, clothes, costumes, plushies and toys, accesories, mags and the sort, but in my opinion it is the best part.they have costume balls and midnight dances.
you can take pictures of/with people, do crazy skits from shows. and if you bust out the perfect pose you'll get thousands of people wanting to take your picture.
Its an all time good experiance to have, people are nice and outgoing there and you'll have a wonderful time.
good luck to your first time!
Oh yeah, to volunteer or become a staff, just go to the cons website or do a search on that particular con (I dont know which one your attanding) and they'll have all the info there.
go here to see what I mean.

Oh no, you're not to any extent further dull! i like listening to about anybody's reviews. I have by no skill been to an Anime-only convention, yet I were to the San Diego comic-Con 3 circumstances. My first time attending changed into in 2006 and that i had no theory what to anticipate, except being there with over 100 and fifty,000 human beings in the course of the 4 days of the Con. between the, if no longer THE highlights of the 2006 SDCC changed into at the same time as i changed into only walking down this one aisle, far off from the significant crowd (oh guy, what body smell!), searching for the Del Rey Manga sales area, and that i only occurred to look over to my left and said the voice actors for the Elric brothers from Fullmetal Alchemist, Vic Mignogna & Aaron Dismuke, signing autographs! the line changed into only 10 minutes waiting (shortest line that day too!!) and that i had a ball chatting with the guy in the front of me, who changed into status in line for his son, and likewise between the adult adult males who changed into gazing the line. We stated all sorts of stuff and the time went through promptly. when I were given as a lot because the table, i changed into very fortunately taken aback that Vic & Aaron were so cool, talked to each and each of those in line and were truthfully worried that we were waiting in this variety of lengthy line. They were very cool to confer with and Aaron even drew somewhat version of Al at the same time as he signed the poster for me! That changed into an fairly cool experience and that i will shop in ideas it for a at the same time as to go back! A relaxing element that occurred at this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days's sdcc changed into that I met up with between the females who's a member of between the Yahoo! communities I belong to. We went to lunch (far off from the convention), had a sturdy chat and it changed into relaxing. I see all sorts of folk who cosplay. This 3 hundred and sixty 5 days there have been 2 Roy Mustangs that I said, one or 2 Ed's, some Couds from FF7:AC, and one Monkey D Luffy. there have been some Ichigo Kurosaki's, probable because of Tito Kube's visual attraction there this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. Oh, and yet another cool wonder, changed into that Hiro Mashima, author & artist of Rave draw close & Fairy Tail changed into also on the convention!! i will't somewhat pinpoint a lot & I make an apology for that. it really is the unplanned for and entirely by surprise reviews that make a convention the most relaxing. Getting all that loose swag isn't too shabby both!!

last anime convention I went to, they had a j-pop concert, lots and lots of anime music videos, lots of people cosplaying in the hallways, an enormous vendor and artist room, and some lovely guest-speakers! (the voice actor for Edward Elric, artist for Usagi Yojimbo, and more)
