There really isn't anything you can do to prevent them. If your mom has them and your sister has them, chances are you'll get them as well. It all has to do with the elasticity of your skin. And if you're already starting to see them, then you're gonna get them, but you can help minimize them by putting coco butter or vitamin E oil on them. Afterwards, you can continue using the oil or the lotion, but it's mainly time that will make them fade. They'll never go away mind you, but they won't be nearly as bad a year after you get them. Good luck!

Hi there! Well I myself have the same problem. There are various methods that claim to remove them, including laser treatments, dermabrasion, and topical applications like cocoa butter but none guarantees it. There is no assured method of preventing stretch marks, although many believe that using oils or creams in high-risk areas may help prevent them by giving the skin more flexibility. Many over the counter products are sold for such use. The only reliable treatment for already-existing stretch marks is surgery. While several topical applications exist, they are only effective in fading the stretch marks; they do not cause stretch marks to completely disappear. I hope this helps ^_^

There is no possible cream, lotion or anything that can stop you from getting stretch marks.Your skin needs to stretch to accomidate your baby.Keeping your skin moisturized may help the skins elastisity but will not prevent stretch marks.Don't waste your money on expensive lotions or stretch mark cream,go get yourself some cocoa butter and do not dry off your skin when you get out of the shower rub lotion right over the water to help lock in extra moisture. I know stretch marks are horrible , but they are a part of the amazing miracle your growing inside and they are worth it.

They say cocobutter helps but I'll be honest it doesn't for me. I'm only 19 weeks and already have so many I probably couldn't count them all. I don't understand how some women go through and don't have even one during their pregnancy. I've heard that some exercises can help prevent them and tone your skin. Nothing has worked for me so I've pretty much given up on them they are already here they will eventually fade. That's the way I look at it.

I don't think anything is going to give a guaranty that you will not get stretch marks, Both my mother and I got stretch marks and both my sisters didn't so just because you sisters got them doesn't mean you will get them the same. the best advice I can give is to keep you skin moist and do your best not to scratch your belly, scratching a small stretch mark it can make it worse, the more moisture your skin has the less itchy it will get. vitamin E is good for healing (oil not cream is best) using vitamin E oil may be beneficial to your skin.

Vitamin E is the best. You can buy full strenght oil and put it into your lotions and things. Family shows the best on what you will get. If your sis and mom have them most bet is that you will get them.

PALMER'S-PALMER'S-PALMER'S
They make all sorts of products that are absolutely wonderful! Cocoa Butter, Shea butter, creams, lotions, balms, anything you need all good for your skin, it helps your elasticity in your skin so as it stretches you reduce, or eliminate getting stretch marks.....you can get their stuff anywhere, drug stores...walmart....try it though----I didn't get stretch mark till my last 3 weeks, when my baby dropped, and they were very minimal!

Coco butter works well, but Strivectin works better. However, it is expensive ($100 -/+) per bottle -- but it is worth it. Macy's sells it.
