WE are defending ourselves from terrorists who want to KILL us.
We are fighting them and showing them that we are not afraid. Peace thru strength. This is what we are striving for and I hope it works.

No.

First I'd like to comment that this war is NOT about oil. If you believe it is (as one of the answers to your question suggests) ask yourself why we didn't just keep Kuwait after we drove the Iraqis out. Or why we went into Korea or Viet Nam - there's no oil there, only oppressed people.
We have made these nations in the Middle East extremely rich simply because we pay for their oil - period.

Sorry, I got distracted by that stupid answer.....

I think that war is sometimes unavoidable. Before WWII, the Europeans tried appeasement, negotiations, diplomacy, and everything they could think of short of war - and the Nazis continued their march across Europe.

We are now in a war against terror.

When the first World Trade Center was bombed - we essentially did nothing.
When the American embassies were bombed - we did nothing.
When the USS Cole was bombed - we did nothing.
As the terrorists murdered and maimed innocent men, women and children around the world - we did nothing.
When the Islamic radicals proclaimed that Americans must convert to Islam, or die - we ignored them.

9/11 was the last time we "turned the other cheek."

I think it is obvious that, considering their agenda of a one world government under Islamic Law (without the infidels, of course), there can be no peace - ever - especially when their tactics to achieve this objective is nothing short of barbaric.

It's high time that someone stood up and declared that enough is enough - there is a valid reason that some people simply can't be tolerated in a civilized world any longer - and the Islamic radicals must be enlightened - or killed.

Honestly and truthfully, as the old saying goes "if not for stopping Slavery, Communism, fascism, Nazism.......the Mob and now terrorism, war would not be good for anything! And I truly believe this. Just think, when someone just wants to do away with your rights and impose their restrictions on you (religious or otherwise) aren't you willing to fight for your right to worship as you please? Without interfering in others rights?........Well, these Islamic fanatics dont' believe you should have that right or even the right to ask this question. So I ask you....what would Buddha do? Be quiet and allow fanatics to take over? Or put a stop to the fanatics before they have a chance to ruin more lives......

the challenge lays in the finding of drugs to Sadat and entire country long enough to get a brain on the inside of it to grow and become part of the human chain that is on here on line
