i like my last name... its the one I was born with ... very common and no one asks me if I am related to anyone.... but if I could change it I would change it to something funny like... Pokemon, kitten, pug, Nintendo, aztek.

My married last name is never pronounced correctly. Since I am getting divorced I could go back to my maiden name, which is strange as well. So yes I think I may change my last name to something more dynamic! This is a great idea! Thanks!

When I was younger i thought about changing it because it's very long. Then I understood that it is the way it is, and I accepted myself, and keep it.

I did change it recently. My wife and I have hyphenated our names. It's actually sort of a pain, but it says "commitment" in a really powerful way.

If you were one of us, you would never consider such a thing.
I won't tell you what my last name is, because you would like it so much you would change it to mine, and if there is one thing we can't tolerate, its a wanna-be trying to be like us.

and i would never change my last name. it is my family. my father my mother my brothers.
it is the expression of unity i have had growing up all these years. i associate it with love warmth caring comfort and peace.
i would never give that up.

I don't like how it gets misspelled and how it gets mistaken for someone else's last name....won't say who. But it represents my roots, so I figure why not keep it?
