Using what you know about temperatures affecting the pressure of gas, how might a basketball be affected if it is kept inside a gymnasium at 75 degrees Fahrenheit versus on an outside court where the temperatureis 25 degrees Fahrenheit? Describe the changes in gas pressure . ( I need atleast a paragraph . Thank you )

a basketball that is kept outside at 25 degrees F will eventually grow more flat. because as the temperature decreases the molocules will slow down in effect taking up less spaceand condensing. as where a b-ball kept at 75 degrees F will be warm enough where the molocules stay at a constant enough speed that they will not condense but be able to keep the ball at relatively the same size.the hottter the surroundings the faster the molocules are and the colder it is the slower they are.

p= r RT
where p is the pressure, r is the density, R is a gas constant (there is an individual gas constant for each gas) and T is the temperature of the gas. So if the temperature of the gas inside the ball increases and R and r stay the same, that means the pressure will increase.

For your example, since r and R are constant, there is a linear relationship between the different temperatures.

Do your own homework. All I can do is explain. There is less pressure inside the basketball when it is at 25 degrees because the atoms in the gas inside will slow down. On the contrary, when it is inside at 75 the pressure increases since the atoms move faster. You do realize that copying something word by word is plagiarism and you can be sued.

Ask for homework help if you don't understand, people can't do it for you though (big difference).

If the basketball is full of air at 75 degrees, and you take it outside, it will get soft. At low temperature the molecules are less active so they don't bump against the side of the ball as much, and it gets softer. I have seen this with baloons in a cold winter climate; you take your baloon outside and it looks only half full of air, but you take it back inside where it's warm, and it's full again.

well i thought this might be the answer

we know the ideal as eqn
p1v1t1=p2v2t2 p=pressure v=volume =temprature

p1=p2v2t2/v1t1

with constamt internal temp pressure of the gas varies directly with temp. . therefore greater the temp. greater the pressure.

also we know that with inc. in temp. the molecules gain greater kinetic energy. Hence number of collissions with the walls of the basketball inc. and hence pressure increases.
we propose this theory considerind that the effect of temp. can be felt inside
