My friend insist that its the right hand and that is the first I have heard of ,,,,eleven years of marriage and my ring on the left where my honey put it,,,Where your ring?

Your wedding ring belongs on your left ring finger. Our ancestors chose this hand and this finger for a real reason. The left side of your body if the side of your body that your heart is on, and your left ring finger is the one finger on your hand that has a direct vascular connection to and from your heart. This essentially allows us to wear our wedding rings directly on our hearts.

Mine is also on the right. According to some tradition, the man wears it on the left while the woman on the right. But I heard that it's suppose to be on the left for both man and woman because there is a nerve in our body that connects from the left hand (or that particular finger) to our hearts.
Actually, I don't really mind where the ring is being worn. THe more important thing is that the relationship lasts.

I live in the states and wear it on my left hand as do most people I know. There are some European countries where it is customary to wear it on their right hand.
I reserve my right hand for special rings my husband buys me throughout the years.

I don't know what country she was married in, but I've been married twice and getting married a third time in December and as far as I can remember it's always been on the ring finger on your left hand.

It's supposed to be on your left hand on the second finger from the left.
