It's an automatic reaction in just about everyone. My husband is a cop and I still slow down. Even when I use to work in his office and drove by my fellow officers I still was very aware of my driving even though I knew they wouldn't bother me (unless I was doing something outrageous or dangerous).

You know what, i got pulled over cause i didn't move into the left lane while a cop was on the shoulder with another vehicle...Then he cited me for no proof of insurance. Jack A$$. I did slow down, but that wasn't good enough.

Do you mean if they have someone pulled over already??? If so, in my state (Indiana) it is a law now for you to slow down AND get over to the next lane(if possible). But you have to slow down or they will radio in your license plate and issue you a ticket.

Why is this under Marriage & Divorce?
Yes, I tend to check my speed when I see a Police car.

yes if im speeding and its best not to hit the brakes its better to let off the gas. I was told by a friend that if you are not touching the gas it is better for when they check your speed. Im not sure if that is totally true

Not if I am in a far lane. If I do slow down it is for safety purposes, like if he cuts you off suddenly.

Heck no.
Speed up next to him and see if you can see sparks as the cars slide against each other before flooring it.

I have a radar detector, so I usualy know they are around before I see them, but I usualy drive the speed limit, so i just keep it steady.
