I need a laptop and I was browsing ebay and found this... he has the feedback to make him trustworthy, but is it possible to have two "1.73GHz processing cores = Equivalant of 3.46 GHz single core processing capacity"? this is how he puts it ... is this laptop really 3.46 ghz? here's the link... plz HELP!!!!

Hes just trying to make the laptop sound better, thats all. Dual core is nothing new, and is pretty common in new computers now. It does provide some performance benefits, but nothing so fantastic its worth shouting about.

As for the offer, I dont think its a scam. However, reading the small print you see that it is a one man company. That being the case, I'm not so sure I'd trust the "amazing offer", or the idea of an instant refund if you're not happy.

A dual core does not make your CPU 2 times faster, so dun fall for it.

hmm if you are planning on buying a laptop don't buy one from ebay. If you think it's a scam it probably is. Go to bestbuy if you have one in your area. They can hook you up with a good deal.

for hime it seems as though the dual core technology means speed*2 may be misunderstanding, cant say if it is a scam
