i have pimples that only pop up on my cheeks, chin and around my mouth. i try all types of medicine, but dont really know what types are the best. its not like serious acne, its only those areas but its really annoying. i dont have the money to go to a dermatologist and wondered if anyone knew of over the counter medicine and/or face wash that really helps. also, i sleep on my side all the time, could the dirts from my pillow case cause the pimples? should i change it everynite or something?

i agree it could be buildup on your pillowcase, but also is it only on one side? i noticed this and then realized it was probably my phone. I clean my phone more often and make sure my sheets and cases are clean. Also i was overcleansing my face, using too hard of a think so i switched to cleansing with water (and ALWAYS taking my makeup off but i dont wear much anyway) and moisturizing...even oily skin can benefit from moisturizing properly.

Sometimes stress can cause acne even if they're at specific areas. The material in the pillowcase might be giving your skin a rash related symptom and causing the acne to pop up. Also, genetics can be the cause of acne if your parents had problems taking care of their skin. You could try to change your pillow often, but if that doesn't work, try Proactive. Hope your skin will clear up soon, trust me it's not easy taking care of your skin ;)

your pillowcase should be washed once a week or so. but, you might want to take a look at your cell phone. Most people don't think about it, but cell phones are pressed against your face and they are DISGUSTING. That was a major cause of break outs for me until I started wiping it down constantly.
If you don't have a lot of money to spend, proactive is a good system to start using.

chocolate does not cause pimples...
one thing that sort of works is benzol peroxide (i probably spelled it wrong). but it comes in stuff like some clean and clear creams. dont put on too much at first, it really dries out the skin when you first start using it, but then it prevents a lot of pimples. at least i think so.

It could be your cell phone, pillow case, or because you put your hand on your face. Make sure that you use something like a Lysol wipe or spray on your cell b/c it is crawling with pore clogging germs.

use Proactive. It really works. It shouldnt be your pillow case but if you go to bed with a dirty face you could have buildup on your case. SO never go to bed without washing and wash your pillow case at a minimum weekly.

It sounds to me like you are drooling in your sleep, and it is sitting there all night allowing bacteria to form and ending up as pimples. You may want to consider a mouth guard at night to prevent spreading drool everywheres.
