Hello,

I'm new in the U.S. and will be driving from Ann Arbor, MI to Chicago. Online map sites give me three alternate routes which I linked below. There's only 15-20 miles difference between them so I'm trying to decide which one to take. The most important thing for me is light traffic and the faster route. But I'm interested to hear any other significant differences (if any) you might list.

I'd appreciate if you could help me choose the best one. Thank you.

The first route is easily the best route.

Going into Chicago from the south area on a Friday at 10:30 should not be TOO undesirable, via fact the worst of the frenzy would desire to be over and you would be out previously the afternoon rush kicks into extreme kit. Your best wager is in all risk purely follow I-ninety 4 all the way by way of (Ryan to Edens and on northwards). Alternately, you ought to evaluate taking I-294 (Tri-State Tollway) that skirts around the outer component. Longer distance, plus tolls, yet you're much less probable to get caught up in city site visitors. If Iceman is robust and ninety 4's under shape, take the Tri-State.
