It's bad enough that girls do it at any age, but why encourage girls who are young enough to still be playing with dolls to do it?

Gungaroo, so you're saying that it's okay for them to encourage young girls to dress up like jailbait just to make a buck? I understand that that's what they're trying to do, but does that mean we should all be justifying it with that kind of a defeatist "well it's just going to happen anyways so we're all powerless to stop it" kind of attitude. I hope to God that you don't have kids.

Yeah, it is ridiculous. Then they wonder why girls are having sex at age 12 and their boyfriend is 20. Society makes little girls look "older" and then you get guys that are wayyyy too old for them looking at them and saying "but she looks older for her age and she's so mature, she's not your average 12y/o" - it's all a dirty vicious cycle.

It's like this it sell to show Barbie in a real short skirt and tiny top.But to me it all depends on the parent if they let their girls dress like that.See i have three girls one16.14,10. And they don't even think about a short nothing because they already know It's Going To Go Down if i see it . It's all in the parent to me. Because if the parent don't teach them the right way they are going to be lost in this crazy world as so many are .We have a new breed of children here. When i was coming up things was alot different.I got tore off for things like that and it could have been my short got too little and i still put them on.

The only thing they gain is sales revenue -that's from a reasonable straight perspective.
For those who are extremely sarcastic the answer most likely would be: a future with slutty looking kids that turn on dirty old men.
Perhaps the follow up question is: why do parents buy this **** for their kids??

the money stupid parents will spend to shut up the child rather than teach her not to dress like one

They would get nothing out of it if PARENTS WERE RESPONSIBLE!!!!
Are toy companies holding guns to our heads making us buy those toys…..NO.
Can a parent (which I am) tell their daughter that toys like BRATZ are not appropriate and won't purchase them or have others purchase them for my daughter…..YES.
It’s supply and demand….If parents are buying the toys, then the toy companies will continue to dish them out!

toy companies do not invent fashion, they merely exploit it
the toy companies are just trying to sell their product
the result is just a symptom of the whole sickness of our culture
why can they sell clothes that look like prostitute wear, because people buy them
its that simple
