American Culture has successfully eliminated a need (or any form of reward) for exercise and a correct diet. Americans are taught what tastes good and what doesn't taste good, are told that if you become fat its acceptable, and have the misconception that everything is fixable by modern medicine.

Its a mater of social makeup of America and the negligence of proper nutrition education in the past decades. Its being worked on today, but the problem persists and does exist in American youth. Its quite a good hole that America has dug itself into on this one.

Let's see. Everybody drives, goes to the fast food drive-thru window, most people have jobs where they just sit a desk and type or talk on the phone.
People basically don't have to walk to do anything, so if we are just sitting and eating all day, I think we will get obese.

1. Most Americans are lazy.

2. Unhealthy foods are cheaper than healthy foods, so the poor don't really have the option of eating fruits, vegetables, etc.

Most people do not exercise or eat healthy. Some is genetics, but those people just have to work harder, which sucks, but it can be done. Some people don't worry about their weight and like to eat what they want. It is a choice for most people.

A lot of fast food (which I love!)
It is all about moderation and balance.
It would seem that some people don't understand that.
You can eat fast food...just not ALL the time!
