Alonso.

He doesn't try to wreck other people to win championships. Or stall his car on the course to prevent people from beating his qualifying time. Or have his teammate pull over so he can win.

Scumacher is a great driver, as is Alonso. But Alonso is a far better sportsman.

Schumacher, because he is an icon in the sport world, and it would make it a fantastic story for him to win his 8th title after a bad start of the season, and fierce competition throughout, and just before his career retirement. If he pulls it out at the end, it would be like a classic movie! We can tell our grandchildren that we saw it happen and lived the exitement. History in the making!!!! If Alonso wins, no big deal. However, although I think Alonso is faster, more pragmatic and calculated than Schumi at this stage of their careeres (and more arrogant, too) I also believe he has plenty of time to make his own history in the future and try to beat Schumacher's records in the future. For the best interest of the F1, we want Schumi to cap his career with the title, the euphoria, the history, and the Hollywood movie. Alonso, you don't need to ruin all this nice set-up, do you?

Mainly because of the way the FIA are trying to engineer a 'fairytale' 8th Title for Schumacher, I'm cheering for Alonso.

It doesn't help that Schumacher sometimes plays dirty, but neither did Senna, I think that's just a by product of the racing genius within them. Alonso seems to be able to largely control that side of him, so that goes in his favour too.

Alonso, of course, because I don't fall for what the FIA wants to do in order to set an unbeatable record for MS.
Mosley is a relic of the MS era, he should leave the FIA, he's dum and arrogant and he is trying to fix the championship by disadvantaging Renault and Alonso.

I just hope the guys in blue give Ferrari a thrashing just to laugh in Mosley's face. Even Bernie Ecclestone is now going in Renault's defense.

I would like schumi to win his 8th title. But Schumacher has had two of his worst races in the past two years at the Chinese circuit but he has a good record in japan and Brazil , so i think the championship will be decided on the coming weekend, but still it can go on to last race in Brazil.
So definitely it will be the schumacher who will take 2006 Championship.
