Try Denver Colorado, and get a rocky mountain high, it's free.

New Orleans! If you keep up with the news, you can see that people there love to have fun. Great food, music, history. Things are still on the mend there ,don't misunderstand that, but things are really looking up. I love to take one of the many tours with friends, riding in a horse drawn buggy. The Swamp tours(on air boats) are a rush. The Ghost tours thru the historic cemeteries and antebellum homes are perfect for fun in the fall. You will meet some really interesting people. I was fascinated by the living statues. My favorite one was an angel, I walked by her twice before I realized that she was a real person. The variety of food is really impressive, but my favorite would be the crawfish. The seafood just can't be topped. Not only can you enjoy a variety of music, food, tours, festivals, etc. you can do it fairly cheap. Not to mention the money you spend there would help the city to try and rebuild. Oh, and don't forget about Mardi Gras!

Go to Orbitz, Travelocity, Sherman or any site that has special fly/hotel prices. There are deals to be found using South West Airlines.

How about a cruise? Great last minute prices.

San Antonio, Texas Phoenix, Arizona

If you're smart with your money, Honolulu, Hawai'i.

Or try Seattle, WA.
