Little else is known of Joseph except that he was apparently a skilled craftsman (often held to have been a carpenter) and for many years lived in the town of Nazareth. Joseph's death is not recorded, but he is thought to have still been alive when Jesus was around 12 years old, due to scriptural mention [5].

In the Roman Catholic and other traditions, he is the patron saint of workers and has several feast days (see Saint Joseph's Day). Saint Joseph was also declared to be the patron saint and protector of the Universal Catholic Church (along with Saint Peter) by Pope Pius IX in 1870, and is the patron of several countries and regions.

Jesus is often described as working side by side with Joseph in the Joseph's carpenter shop at Nazareth, or staying with Joseph while the latter worked in Christian stories of Jesus' early life. In some Christian traditions (including Roman Catholic), Joseph is described as dying "in the arms of Jesus and Mary."

Profile
Descendant of the house of David. Layman. Carpenter. Earthly spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Foster and adoptive father of Jesus Christ. Visionary who was visited by angels. Noted for his willingness to immediately get up and do what God told him.
Died
1st century, prior to the Passion, of natural causes

There isn't much reliable information. I read that the majority of people then could read, so there's a good chance he did. He was a carpenter, so he probably served an apprenticeship. As a Jew and a male, he would have had a fairly decent background in the scripture, but it's unlikely he owned a book. Books (scrolls) were written by hand in those days. But this is just guessing. There were some stories written about Jesus' early life that tell about Joseph, but they are probably made up, anyway they aren't reliable, but they can be entertaining. In one of them little Jesus killed a playmate for being mean and a teacher for being to bossy and Joseph said to Mary, "From now on we can't let him out of the house because whenever he gets mad at somebody he kills him." Cute, but not too believable.

a million. The Church 2. Virgins 3. households 4. Fathers 5. Carpenters St. Joseph is a buyer for many things. i admire St. Joseph with the aid of fact the ordinary element could have been to divorce the Blessed mom quietly or to stone her. He placed himself out on a limb and took a brilliant bounce of religion. St. Joseph is somebody all Christians shold take exhilaration in.

St. Joseph? Type in "Joseph" and "Bible" and other like words and you will find out a host of information on the internet
I am not sure you will find out much about his education as there is not much known about this and this time, other than general things during this era.

Also, the Bible is a WEALTH of information---go to the OLD BOOK, rather than the new readings as they do not get into this thing very often if you want his parents info.

Good luck dear.
