Replace it with something other than plexiglass. It is terrible as you have seen. Try lexan or actual glass if appropriate. There are grades of actual glass for jsut about everything...

Plexiglas is terribly unforgiving. It scratches easily and yellows with time. It is usually an acrylic product, and there are polycarbonate plastic glass products like Lexan that are a bit stronger, clearer, and scratch-resistant, but still not permanantly.

Nothing will make a piece of plastic glass better, and nearly everything will make it worse.

If it is a flat piece of glass, like in a window or door, and at least 1/8" thick, you can get some tempered or laminated glass to replace it. If it is a curved piece, like a snowmobile windshield, you will probably have to replace it.

You can try a plastic polish from 3M available at auto parts stores. Other than that it isn't very expensive to replace.

I don't think you can resurface it. Products are sold to fill in scratches, but I don't think it will make them invisible. Replace it with safety glass
