If your Mom has the confidence in your sister and knows that she will be OK, then I say let her go.

Yeah why not??? Their are plenty of freshmans that wish they could go to the prom let alone the junior prom. Just have her set a time on when she should be back home from the prom. It would be a good experience for her. LET HER GO!!!!!!!

Dear Angie, as the mother of a 15 year old freshman, we had this question come up too. We (the parents) decided that our daughter was too young to attend a formal dance with a date. She will enjoy that privilege when she is 16 and we chaperon the dance. At that time she will be a sophomore. Now, I do detect some jealousy here, and maybe you should think long and hard about how much you love your sister and do you really want good things to happen for her. Your parents' decision is, or should be, the final answer in all of this.

As long as your sister is helpful around the house and makes it home by curfew I don't see why your mom wouldn't let her go. She should meet the boy first and then set a curfew for the night of the prom and make the boy come and get her at your house.

Heck yeah! She's lucky if she can go every year! Just means it'll cost more for the parents if they have to buy her stuff for it each year. Many girls I know went each year. Just make sure the parents meet the guy and make rules. Everyone knows there's an after party for the prom and everyone knows it's the night people have SEX. lol

It depends on her maturity and the maturity of her date.

If she's immature, she should stay home.

If her date is a player or a jerk or something like that, she shouldn't go.

Also safety is a factor.

Just my opinion though^^

Sure, unless you think they plan on bumping the nasties later on. Even then it's really none of your business.

As long as your sister is responsible and can control herself, I don't see why not.
