Whiteflies are a sucking insect. They reproduce fast and can do a lot of damage. I suggest Safer's Insecticidal Soap. The trick is to spray the entire plant, including the undersides of the leaves. Repeat in a week to get any new hatches. Watch carefully and repeat if necessary, but a couple of applications ought to do it.

I have learned from my grandmother to mix 1/4 cup of "tide laundry detergent" (but it must be the powder form.) in a half gallon spray bottle. Gentle mist the plants. It also works great on roses with aphids. Works for me, and I hope it helps you out.

white flies are tough to get rid of ...I believe that you have to spray at least twice..about 10 day apart...if it's a smallish plant you might get better results by tying it into a clear plastic bag and spraying the inside and leaving it for a while.
