Do I count as part of my family?
And I've had dozens of friends who've been to Iraq, pretty much every one I know professionally.
I'd bet there isn't a soldier in the Army who doesn't know at least a dozen Iraq vets.
I haven't met or even heard of anyone who condemns American Soldiers for what they do unless they commit crimes.

My nephew is in Iraq now. He signed up right after graduating high school and went into the Marines. He was in Haiti came home two Christmas's ago, then to Iraq in Jan for 9 - 10 months, then back to states for different training, home for a visit and then back to Iraq again. He's been there for 10 months this second go round.
We send him goody boxes, he mostly just wants Cinnamin Toast Crunch and granola bars and some snacks and baby wipes. He just turned 20 and he's been there for almost 2 years altogether.
Another nephew his big brother finished college ROTC and got his commission and is in training troops now. He is army though. He will probably go out there too in the future.
Both were eagle scouts and altar boys in church and played on the soccer team in high school. Just good boys. My sister (their mom) was in ROTC to pay her way through college and she raised good sons. She's ok with him being there but wishes he was not in the Marines because they are always in the most dangerous areas and she wanted him to go to college and ROTC if he wanted it so he could be an officer but they grew up one hour from NYC and 911 effected us all a lot so they wanted to do something about it.

I have a friend who is now a Major in the Marines. He spent two tours over there. He's worried that no matter how long we stay there or what we try to do to help the Iraqi's, their hatred for us and each other will make it all impossible. He doesn't feel toppling Saddam was a bad thing at all, but wishes his superiors had thought things through a little better before invading.

Yes I did. I had a nephew who came back last Dec and a grandson in law , due to go over there next year.
both were proud to fight for their country and all the people.
Even the ones who condemn them for doing so.
Remember there is only 2 people willing too die for you and that was Jesus and the American soldier.

I served and I have several friends over there now, Sad that the liberals/democrats spew their hate for our country and vets. These people need our support not ya'lls hate.
