i was looking for the same thing and i found something with my friends help a while back go here and download the program http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/ then email me so i can give u the password and stuff to unlock it i dont want to post it here so everyone can see ok.

Download these (they are free)
AVG Free Edition for Antivirus protection
Adaware SE for spyware protection
and A2 (a-squared) for spyware and antivirus protection
Just google search them.
Also make sure you are getting the windows updates. If you havent been getting them regularly and getting runtime errors then that can be a contributing cause to those.
They are a proven fact they work.
If you run those programs and it gives you a error in or after the scan then there is a slight problem.

Try Ad-Aware SE Personal
First time you run it, it may take an hour but it is SOO worth it. My computer ran a lot smoother after the first time I ran it. It's free, google it. I think you can download it off their website.

I am not sure what kind of error you mean. But if you want to clean all spy ware, and your computer is very slow, you can download this software and use it. I used this software and it worked for me.

even the programs you purchase don't clean all of your computer
I use about 6 or 7 to keep it tuned up
