What does it matter if she knows? You are the parent right? Does she pay the rent, or pay for the internet she is using? As I see it, it is your responsability as a parent to know what she is doing on the computer. If she does'nt like it, then stay off the computer. Why sneek...your a grown woman in your oun home.

You can install a software called RealVNC (http://www.realvnc.com) that is designed for accessing computers remotely over the network and Internet. Install the "Server" portion of RealVNC on your daughter's computer and configure a password for VNC-ing to your dauther's computer. And on your computer, you can either install both the Server (unless you want your daughter to spy back on you) and Client (client component is the "viewer" that allows you to connect to other computers that run RealVNC Server). If you know your daughter's IP address, you can enter that IP when you connect to your daughter's computer and you'll see exactly what is seeing on her screen (but be careful not to move your mouse pointer beause you have total control of her PC (keyboard and mouse).
It's also a good idea to "warn" her that you have ways of monitoring her activity.

if you must, look up keylogger programs. however, know that if she ever finds out or if you ever act on the information you find, she will lose all trust in you and will only learn to be more protective of her privacy. if there is something potentially life-threatening involved, then of course it would be your duty to act on it, but don't overreact to otherwise harmless e-mails. this comes from personal experience when my dad would read my e-mails when we subscribed to AOL, 10 years ago.

If you know her password then you can check into her account otherwise nope no way of knowing but you can check the history on the puter when you sign on.Good Luck
