i charge the phone and looks like after a few uses i wears battery down fast im thinking that might be it but any input would be helpful

Yes, your battery is cooked. You have to ask why, the phone may be the culprit. If the unit is relatively new, or you have warranty on it, I would have your cell phone provider check the whole phone out.

The batttery is dead man.
Don't blame the device.
Usualy the battery has the best life in between 6 Months from first usage.
You can do one thing to try to revive the battery.
Try to wipe out every Amper that battery has by powering on the device even it will power off.
Do this till the device will not power on at all.
At this point start charging it (better not in the blackberrybut in a battery charger) for at least 10 hours.
Than put it back in your blackberry.
And check if it is usable.
If it fails again throw it a way and buy a new one.
