I am going to be in New York City for Halloween and I want to dress up. My best friend, who lives there, said that I shouldn't be something too elaborate, as she isn't sure what we're doing and I have to pack my costume. So, I'm looking for a fun costume that I can pack in my lugguge and that will keep me fairly warm on Halloween. Yikes! Any ideas will be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

This year's popular ideas include Elizabeth Swann from the Pirates of the Carribean, 1920's outfits (gangster, cancan dancer, flapper), Egyptian or Greek goddess, Kill Bill the bride, the Bounty Hunter's wife Beth (ok that one is funny!), Super heroes (Batgirl, WonderWoman, SuperGirl, Catwoman), 70's outfits...well there are many to choose from, it all depends what you feel like and if you wanna create your own outfit or buy it....browse the Internet to find ideas and something you like.

I hope this helps. ;-)
Have fun!

Go as a pretty pretty princess... about 40 bucks on most costume websites.. dresses are usually crushed velvet and pretty warm the one below isn't actually velvet but it gives you the right idea

Cos-play! Think game characters, or some cartoon or real life characters that you admire. My little sister is going to cos-play as her favorite: Midna from the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. View the source to see a great example.

How about a Nauty Housewife, A Mile High Captain, or a Nauty Nurse.

MMMM... So dificult!!!! You can use a Jack o' Lantern costume. It's cheap and it's warm. Or you can use a large black dress with a big black hat with a veil. and you can make up with black or purple colors. I don't know!!! Have a nice day and take care!!! :)
Good Luck!!! ;) Bye bye... Have Fun!!!

My daughter and her husband went as the Blues brothers last year, then my daughter had to go to a party with her Sorority and she wore the same thing, they all thought she looked so cute! Also my youngest went as Harpo Marx which was simple. a trench coat, curly wig and a little horn for a bicycle..............she did not talk but would honk the horn like Harpo did, that was cute and simple too, and both you would be warm

You could be Kenny McCormick from South Park.
But try not to die if you do go as Kenny.
Kenny wears brown gloves and an orange hooded parka that covers his mouth and muffles his words.

get some old man clothes, shred them, make them dirty ( chuck'em on the ground and stomp all over them) old shoes, face paint white with black around your eyes, add some peeling skin ( use a peel off face mask - just dont peel it off ) drips of blood around here and there, put talcum powder in your hair and mess it up AND Bingo your a zombie just emerged from the ground......just a suggestion :)

Anything Goth. It's just dark clothes, maybe add a trench coat, colored hair spray, glitter, costume jewelry, and heavy make up.
