Flash is the most widely used software for rich multimedia delivery across the internet today. It might take some time to learn, but the possibilities are endless. You can download a trial version of the official Flash editor from Adobe's website, http://www.adobe.com/ or you can look up some other Flash authoring tools. There are huge Flash developer/animator communities all across the net. You should check them out.

and find online tutorials
a lot of it is just simple motion tweens done in Flash
if you like the program there are handbooks you can buy.
but be careful they are pretty expensive and a lot of them arent very good.

Right click on one you like and save it as .jpg or .gif. When you insert it in your email it will be animated.
