right above my throat.... now it has been that way for years, it hasnt changed in size, and its the one on the right side.. i have already seen a doctor about it several times, and they keep saying its not serious, they say it could be enlarged because of sinus infections, and they give me antibiotics.. which do nothing to help it.. i doubt its serious or it would have done something to me by now.. but i just want it to go down and not be swollen anymore, its not noticeable to anyone but me, but it drives me crazy! is there anything that can reduce its size??

Swollem Lymph Nodes?
If these are the lymph nodes which are swollen, there is a simple homeopathic secret:

1) Hard swollen - lack of Calcium Fluoride.
2) Soft swollen - lack of Kalium Muriaticum.
Both available in health food stores.

I would place 2 pills in a dropper bottle of purifed water, and take one drop under the tongue every few minutes, then less and less often, yet finally, at least 5 times a day for a long time. Make fresh every day, less when less is needed. In 4 weeks there should be a change, unless the environment or life style are very toxic. I also would add Calcium Phosphoricum to the mixture of either one.

Also Dinshah Color MedicineTM may help. In case 1 Scarlet, in case 2 Indigo.

Much success. Cordially, India.Magica

In general, when lymph nodes are inflammed, it's because your immune system is fighting off something. In your neck, it's related to something in or on your head/face or in your mouth.

Firstly, let me share with you that I had a node like this in my neck. It was huge (like the size of a cherry tomato), soft and painful...for over a year. They tried the whole antibiotic route multiple times and it didn't really change. So, they went in and removed it surgically and did a biopsy (to make certain it wasn't cancerous...which it wasn't). The bottom line is, I had a node that was "hot" and they termed it "highly reactive". This means that for whatever reason, this one node was just angry all the time. Now that it's gone, I have no other nodes that do this. But there's no way to know what's going on with it for certain unless they do a biopsy.

Sometimes if nodes are inflammed for a prolonged period of time, or inflammed repeatedly, they can become what are called "shotty" nodes. These are a small, "buckshot" sized enlarged grouping of nodes. This is normal.

BUT, if you have a singular node that is enlarged to say grape size or more...then you might want to consider seeing a different type of doctor (not knowing what type you've already seen). I suggest an ENT (ear, nose and throat), infectious disease doc or perhaps even a dentist (could be a bad tooth). Biopsy may be your only definitive route at this point to determine what's up.

I know you've seen doctors, but have you seen a throat specialist? I've had friends who've seen general practitioners that said nothing was wrong, then subsequently have gone to specialist who has solved their issue. There may be some other type of specialist. I just mentioned throat based on your description.
