die in real life..Can we control them? I know that when I lay down to sleep, I do dream, but pretty soon, things just unfold and it feels like I am not controling it anymore..Is it true that those who don't dream have no souls?

to begin with everyone dreams when they are sleeping . some of us often don't recall our dreams . now when you dream that you will die in a your dream it doesn't mean you will die . it means that you need a new start a new beginning in your life a new rebirth if you will . hopes this helps.

I don't think that if you don't dream you don't have a soul...

think about animals. isn't it said that they don't possess a soul? and if they don't...we sure know they dream. We see their little legs going while they chase that rabbit.

And i have heard that about the dying thing too.. but i found out it wasn't true when i woke up after that dream =P I wonder why that is said then.

And also i have actually had dreams where in the middle of it, I've been able to realize that i am dreaming and make anything i wanted to happen, happen. But i haven't been able to do that in a while...dreams are a mysterious thing...but i always look forward to what kind of dream ill have next =)

Everybody dreams. You'd die if you didn't. It's the brain's way of processing information. Apparently the longest anyone's gone without dreaming (or REM sleep) is 10/11 days, then you go mad and die!

It is possible to control your dreams, I think it's called a lucid dream where you are aware that you're dreaming and can change things. I've had these a few times - when I do, I tell myself to wake up, and I wake up. Although once I did that, thought I had woken up but was really still dreaming. That was very weird!

I think that if you die or are about to die in dreams then you just wake up. I've woke up out of breath coz I've been running in my dream, or crying coz someone's died in my dream, or scared coz someone's tried to kill me in my dream.

I don't believe that fortunes can be told by dreams - they are the brain making sense of experience. Almost every dream I remember I can relate to something that's happened to me, a conversation I've had, something I've heard or simply the way I'm feeling. I dream that people around me are going to die when I'm feeling insecure, or when somebody is sick and I'm worried about them. I dream about plane crashes after having conversations about holidays abroad (I'm terrified of flying), and so on.

So yes, you can control dreams but not always. If you don't dream then you have a soul but there's something medically wrong, and if you die in your dreams you just wake up.

I'm only going to answer the death dream question: years ago I had a dream that I died. I woke up physically fine & am here many years later to write to you about it.

I appreciate the technique for eliciting responses,
but don't believe everything you hear or read.

dreams are controlled by the part of ur brain which is inactive when u are awake but becomes active during sleep. this part keeps gathering information about ur surroundings without u even knowing. and then in sleep it compose that all information in a nightmare or a beautiful dream
