Waste of time! Don't be a novelty act. Keep practicing and when you're 17, 18, & 19 you may have something. It takes years to develop your talents and develop your proficiency. Whatever you decide, Good Luck!

Absolutely! Even if it doesn't work out, you'll get valuable experience of being in another band later. All those professionals you see out there just didn't wake up one day and become experts at there instruments. They really sucked when they started but practiced their butts off.
The fact that you want to start a band at such a young age is awesome! It's a sign that you might go a long way!
Play music you like or you won't want to stick with it. Most important thing is to have fun!
On another subject... here is old joke that is kind of an answer to your question too!...
One day a man flew to New York and he wanted to see the popular sites. He had tickets to a concert but he didn't know how to get there. So he asked someone on the street,
"How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"
The man answered, "Practice, Practice, Practice!" HA HA
Have fun and don't let no one discourage you!

I say go for it! Your chances of making it big are slim to nil, but it'll be a fun experience. Also, getting started at such a young age may lead to a fruitful music career for at least one of you later.

Oh, and all that you really need to start a band is a few people with instruments, and a little bit of practice. Quite frankly, you probably have more time to start a band than highschoolers or college students like myself. Good luck!

All it takes is passion and dedication. Don't use age as an excuse to not make music that you love. Practice your instruments, practice your rhythm, practice on stage presence, and make sure that there's a chemistry between band members. Never let anyone tell you that you're too young to make music. Now's the best time to start.

I think you will always have fond memories of the time you started a band. It is a very exciting endeavor and you should definitely go for it. The more experience you get the better you will become and you will have something to look forward to in life.

The most popular band currently in Germany is made up of pre-pubescent teens. Although they sound way too Emo for me, they are quite successful. So yes if the talent and maturity are there. Don't forget about Menundo in the eighties.

Remember the Hansons, the Olson Twins and Bianca Ryan from "America's Got Tallent"? They all made millions of dollars singing.
