This last july I happen to get hit by a huge heavy tire swing and it left a giant bruise on the front part of my arm, right around the elbow area. But the bruise is long gone, its almost october, and everytime there is pressure in that spot on my arm, it hurts. Does it take this long to heal? It's the muscles that feels like its in pain.

You have quite a few ligaments and tendons in that area. If you were hit hard enough, you may have sprained, strained, or partially torn one of these important connections from bone to muscle tissue. Honestly, if you are still in pain, I would make an appointment with your general physician to get it checked out. Until you are able to get there, remember this simple but effective word..RICE...rest, ice, compression, elevation. This will help ease the pain until you are able to be properly evaluated by a doc.
Good Luck!

Girl I am 35 years old and when I was in high school I slipped in the smoking area and landed on my elbow. I didn't drop my cigarette though. ;-) Anyway, it still hurts to put pressure on it to this day. Like if I am resting my elbow on a table or my desk I still have to be careful not to put too much pressure on that spot. Maybe you should just go get an xray to see if you may have a bone bruise or an injured muscle.

I've gotten a few very deep bruises too, and sometimes they do take a while to heal. Did you check to see if maybe the bone was cracked? I'm assuming it wasn't all the way broken, since you can use it- or at least, haven't said you can't.

Did you ever get this check out by a doctor? Could have had a small fracture and that could still hurt now. I'd get it checked out.
