Just getting a degree is a great thing. Many jobs just want a degree doesn't matter what field. Also you might consider a teaching position at a junior college. Politics also has communication majors. Fund raising, non-profits also use communications. Advertising as well. There are lots of things you can do. Just know that no matter what you do, the money will never be enough and the work will be full-filling only if it is something you are passionate about and enjoy what you are passionate about.

If you get a degree in Communication you'll be well qualified for any job that requires speaking to the public. I live in Florida and they say the best school is UCF in Orlando as Disney hires a lot of graduates. Good Luck.

I am a communications major too. I do journalism. I eventually want to work on national geographic or a fashion magazine. Great travel and social opportunities.

You can take any job you want. So your chance to move up the ladder much better than other workers. With your degree in you pocket, your boss is more likely to pick you than others for promotion(s).

P.S. Good luck.
