Most people say the second wasn't nearly as bad as the first. Most of the time, the first section isn't done under ideal circumstances. It's an emergency, or you've been in labor all day and are completely exhausted.
There's no limit on the number of c/s you can have. I've personally attended a person's sixth. However, the more sections you have, the more dangerous it is for you to labor due to risk of uterine rupture.
You could try again for a vaginal delivery. Worse case scenario, you won't be able to push the baby out, and you'll have to have a section. jsut talk to your doc about it. not all hospitals are able to have vbac patients.

I had two. I really didn't have any major problems, I did develop adhesion. Adhesion's are like extra skin that grows and attaches for example: an adhesion on the uterus could grow and connect to another spot in the uterus and you will have some pain and pulling, or it could connect with other organs, etc, same affect. The way to avoid them is to not do things until the doctor releases you. Like I went back to work waitressing two weeks after birth and it just upset the natural growth of things being on my feet for long hours and it helped to set the growths in motion.
Adhesion's develop as the body attempts to repair itself. This normal response can occur after surgery, infection, trauma, or radiation. Repair cells within the body cannot tell the difference between one organ and another. If an organ undergoes repair and comes into contact with another part of itself, or another organ, scar tissue may form to connect the 2 surfaces.
Anyway, I did get them and had them removed twice, simple procedure. I wouldn't let that small possibility keep you from having another child, its well worth it to have a child. I had the adhesion's both times. By the way, I elected to have the second c-section, its so much easier I think. I was given the choice round two. It was emergency round one.

No Doctor should tell you have to have a C Section unless is some how unhealthy for you or the baby and I don't think a small pelvis is worth having a C Section over. Doctors will try to have people do C/S because it is quicker and easier for them but make sure its the choice you want.

My wife had two c-sections. I think that she would say that the 2nd C-section was a better experience. The bulk of the reason I think that she would say this is that she knew what to expect 2nd time around.
My wife also got nautious during the first C-section. She had a bad reaction to the drugs that they gave her and she was throwing up during the whole procedure.
We told them about this experience prior to going in on the 2nd C-section and they were able to add some sort of drug to her IV that helped reduce the nausea reaction. I guess something like only 4% of women have that severe of nausea.
So, things went smoother 2nd time around.

I've had two sections. One two years ago and one earlier this year. The recovery was easier for the first one, but the experience was worse. I wasn't prepared for the first c-section and was very scared and nauseous. Since I was sick through the first one, I missed most of what was going on, which was probably a good thing and was pretty oblivious of a lot of things afterwords.
The second section, I knew what was going on and they gave me anti-nausea medicine. The experience wasn't what I would rate pleasant, of course, but it was 100% better than the first time.
You'll probably have the same problem I did with recovery on your second section. Your older child will not be happy that you can not pick her up. My son was devastated that I wouldn't pick him up and would have to sit down to hold him. I pushed myself too hard trying to take care of two babies and the pain was a lot worse for a while and I had help too.
Good luck.

My mother has had 4 children through c-sections and we're all fine and so is she. She and my father said that all of her c-sections (after the 1st one) were orderly with no complications. My brother was her first and he was breech (an emergency). That's why it was different, but that one didn't go so bad either. So, if she can deal with that many, I'm sure you'll be able to deal with at least one more. Good luck and con grads on your first.

I have had three c-sections beause I too had a small pelvis. I think the other two were easier to deal with than the first one. You'll be okay to have another one

Had two. I prefer to have a C-Section than vaginal. Though I did not have the choice to have a section my first c-section was an emergency and the second one I had a choice on but my risks where a lot lower to have a section than vaginal if i did it that way then I could have bleed to death or lost my child.

I had two but they were both emergency ones but no problems other than I almost bled to death before I went in and had to have them that way. I was hemorrhaging at home and that was the reason for them. I had five the regular way and the last two. were c sections. Not to worry though if you are healthy, you will be just fine. My body was just worn down from all the pregnancy's. I had several miscarriages in between. and my body was just worn down. It is a very safe way to give birth. good luck and hope you are more at ease. All the answers are very good . Hope you have your healthy baby you are wishing for. God Bless.
