I am having trouble with break through bleeding while on the birth control pill.

I have been on the same pill for 8 months, the first 6 months were fine and the past month or so I have had spotting daily while taking my active pills.

I am think about just throwing them all out and using condoms until my hubby and I plan to conceive in a few months.

What would happen to my body when I take one week's worth of pills and then just stop?

I just had my "period" last week, so would I start withdraw bleeding again?

After 5 years of taking the pill, my body needs a break!

Thanks!

I had trouble with breakthrough bleeding with about 5 different types of contraceptive pill, finally found one that doesn't give me mid-cycle bleeding. They were usually fine for the first four or five months and then the breakthrough bleeding would start. The pills are actually still effective if your keep taking them as per the instructions. You should talk to your doctor about changing the dosages, but if your are wanting to get pregnant, then you can stop taking the pills and start trying now.

if you stop taking them, you will get your period again in a few
days. your pills probobly aren't strong enough, so if you want
to continue using the pill, call your doctor and he will recomend
another one.. if you were on the pill for 5 years chances are you
won't get pregnant right away. took me 13 months to get pregnant after being on the pll for 8 years.

If ur on the pill 2 alter ur era that is extremely cautioned by ability of drs that u end the %. u began so u could have some form of era 2 being ovulating. a minimum of that what my dr instructed me.

You could throw off your cycle and be very uncomfortable for awhile (that includes bleeding all over again and possibly for longer). Just wait until your pack is done.

you would get your period if you stop your pill and if you didn't take great links to protect yourself you'd get pregnant. A birth control is just that to control yur period so you do nnnot get pregnant. If you can't remember to take a pill do the shots, if that won't work for you get a tubaligation. But please do something it doesn't sound like your smart enough to have children.

Your period would probably start again. Condoms are not that reliable, so you may want to consider a spermicide also. Talk to your Doctor...and Good luck!
