When I was 14 I got into a fight and was charged with misdemeanor assault. I pleaded no-contest and did six months of probation. I was told when i finished my probation that It would be taken of my record. It has not shown up on any of my employers previous background checks and I am not going into the teaching program in college. Will this show up when they do my teaching back ground check? please help?

No. Juvenile records are sealed.

Juve records are kept sealed. You should check to make sure that it is off of your record; if not, request now that it be removed.

A search may reveal that there is a juve record, but not the contents of the record.

It was a long time ago, obviously, if you are asked just be forthright: I was 14 years old, in a scuffle. I was charged with a misdemeanor. (Felony is the one they would worry about).

No, it does not show up. I work in a superintendent's office of a school district and order background checks all the time. According to what I have seen/read, juvenile records are not released.
