The only way for you to know if you are ovulating is to take your basal body temp each morn, same time and before you get up. You should see a pattern in temps that leads up to and after ovulation. You can get the basal thermometer at Wal-Mart for about 8 dollars. I use a wonderful FREE website called Fertilityfriend.com...it graphs your temps for you, keeps track of your fertility signs, tells you when you ovulate and also tells you if there is an implantation dip in your temps. You can also use Ovulation prediction kits, but they only measure your LH surge and give you a ball park time for ovulation...they do not pin point it. Oh, and it is possible to be ovulating while you do not have your period, just like it is possible to have a period and not ovulate.

You may need to regulate your periods first. You can do this by taking the pill. I know sounds stupid, I need to take birth control to get pregnant? But if you take the pill it will make your periods regular. Maybe take it for 3 months and then at the end of the third month when you stop taking it for your period just don't start it again. I had to take the pill when I was 14 to regulate my periods, so I know it works, but please talk to your doctor about it too. Good luck! Happy Humping!

Track your fertility, I think someone in a previous post suggested fertility friend. You can also talk to an OBGYN or fertility specialist to figure out why your period isn't regular. Good luck to you.

I would suggest making an appointment at your GYN. . . But hey to be honest with you, practice makes perfect! Bust seriously. . .A woman usually begins ovulating about 7-10 days after her period ends. So i would start trying about 10 days after your period ends. . .

If you have been trying for over a year then you need to visit your doctor. If you haven't been trying for a year then you can visit www.ovusoft.com and go to the Library and get Taking Charge of your Fertility by Toni Welscher. read the book, start charting and best of luck!

you should try an ovulation kit or a BBT!! They can help you to detect your fertile days and then you can have sex and possibly conceive!! If I were you, I wouldn't have sex until those fertile days so that the sperm can build up and then have a better chance of getting to the egg to fertilize it! Good Luck!!
