Normal Neocon propaganda, the British had to release most of the people they had arrested, which is unlike the Bush Administration. They would have had them all at Gitmo. Isn't it a little funny that the British follow the Geneva Convention when the Neocons feel the need to rewrite it? What is George Bush and the Neocons hiding? Here is a little video in remembrance.....

Actually, scientists addressed the issue and came up with the quantities of such liquids that would be required to make a significant explosive. So, the TSA has allowed quantities well below those limits to be brought on. It was a matter of figuring out just how dangerous the materials could be in a scientific manner to form a policy that would be the least intrusive against the passengers while providing reasonable security.
One can only bring small quantities of liquids on board and they must be in a particular type of ziploc bag for examination.
And, let's not forget, the Republicans wanted to put airline security in the hands of private companies with a proven track record for success. It was the Democrats who got their way, making the already incompetent screeners into Federal employees so they cannot be fired if they are racial 'minorities'.

Reasonable amounts of liquids and gels never really were a significant threat. But to stay in power the GOP have to keep fanning the flames of fear of "terrorism" whether real or concocted. There's an election coming, you see, and they may not have this one fixed.
I think they may also simply enjoy people acting like sheep and doing what they are told.

There was a clear threat made that involved something that was banned. It is classified, so I do not know the specifics. There is no flip flop. You are making a comment on a situation you have no first hand knowledge of.
