I would say the only reason they switch so often is for the fact they hit so hard which makes your strings get lose.So instead of breaking your strings on the court they just get a new racket out and play with that one.Plus ever points counts so if someone is serving the ball to you and you hit then break a serve it comes back to you what are u suppose to do then you can't hit if your string is broke

I was a ball boy as a child and back then we basically got free food and the uniform we had to wear on the court. They considered the "you get to watch pro tennis players up close and personal for free" thing your payment.

only the us open pays their ballboys which is at 9 dollars an hour

I read $50 - $100 a day. I also read that some of them are volunteers. I think they are compensated for their services.

i heard that in wimbeldon the only payment you get is a pair of sneakers and a shirt and a pant, which is also our uniform, so its like almost nothing
