They are both not healthy for society, but for different reasons. Although at first it appears easy to put the blame on alcohol, research suggests that marijuana is the "gateway" drug, which opens up the door for further drug abuse. Perhaps marijuana is worse, in a "back-door" kind of way, and not openly destructive as alcohol abuse.

Honestly, I would have to say that alcohol is the worse because it makes people kill and act a fool. At least the ones on marijuana don't even want to bother with hurting others....it's too much work...

Alcohol addiction is up there with heroin addiction IMHO. It's just that it is so prevelant and familiar that people don't see it for the evil it is. 10's of thousands of alcohol deaths every year. And from weed? Zero.

I think that the stoned person that's sitting on their couch, watching TV or playing Video Games.. Or who goes to the store or a Fast Food place to buy munchie food.. Is far less dangerous than the drunk person who is starting fights in bars/clubs or with his/her wife... Or who is driving down the road, putting countless people at risk.

I really feel there's little doubt that alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana is. However, with either one you can create habits that are counterproductive to your goals

That's like trying to decide which is bad & worse... Society is simply hazardous to its own health.
